BUNKBEDS!

When we found out we were pregnant with Kaylee, we knew that we either needed to A) Get a bigger place or B) Put all the boys in one room.

Getting a bigger, nicer place did sound quite appealing however, we really like our ward, elementary school, landlord and rent payment. :)  Thomas has tons of friends at school and Connor and Riley’s best friends are in our ward.  Our home has many quirks, but they are well worth it to stay here and gave all the positive aspects.  So, putting all 3 boys in one room was the decision that was made.

Here’s the problem:  We have a 3 bedroom home.  There is the master bedroom, a medium sized bedroom and a small bedroom.  The layout of the medium sized bedroom makes it impossible to fit 2 let alone 3 beds in there.  The closet is quite large and the door opens up into the bedroom.  The small bedroom on the other hand fits them quite nicely.  The door opens into the hall and the closet is in a better place and isn’t quite as large.  So yes, the boys have to share the small bedroom while Kaylee gets the large one.  But it isn’t because of favoritism in any way shape or form.  Here is how it worked out for us…

Here’s the sweet thing about this setup.  We bought 2 bunk beds.  We set up Thomas and Connor’s bed as a bunk bed, then we set up Riley’s bed as a single.  We saved the other single bed in the box for Kaylee for when she gets older, so we won’t have to buy her a bed.  Their room is going to be a jungle theme.  We tried to make each of their beds coordinate while making them unique as well.  We are still working on the rest of the room, I will post pictures of the finished product when it’s done.
