So last year, the days Matt took off from work could probably be counted on one hand. This is great for his work, but as for our family, we sure did wish we could have more time with him. We are grateful Matt has such a good job and even got a promotion around October of last year! He is now the Call Center Supervisor. He is in charge of trainings and scheduling, and lots of stuff that is Greek to me. Last year he even had to leave for his first business trip for 3 days to Colorado and will probably have to go on more this year as well. But because of the minimal vacation or sick days he took, we were stuck with a lot of accumulated PTO that would have been wasted at the end of the year. We have been very blessed to have 3 - 4 day weekends and 1 - 3 day weekend due to holidays and trying to use his PTO for the last month! I think we’ve pretty much made it a goal to have at least 1 -3 day weekend a month this year. We also have a few family trips that we have planned already and I’m sure more will pop up throughout the year. But as you can see:
We are all loving the extra time we get to spend with him!!!!
