Thomas’ Birthday!

Thomas is now 6 years old!  We had a fun little birthday party for him. It turned out to be kind of an open house birthday party since everyone showed up at different times.

It was a Star Wars birthday party. When he went to bed Saturday night Matt and I decorated the living room. Then we all woke up, had cinnamon rolls for breakfast and opened presents! From Matt and I, he got 2 of the Imaginext airplane collection and a space vehicle for his Imaginext space collection.

Later on that evening my parents came over and gave him 2 shirts and a way cool Hot Wheels Skyhigh Speedway. It’s awesome! The car has magnets on it so that it can go up 90 degree ancle tracks. We found out he can even play with it on the fridge! They also got him a bouquet of balloons!

After they left, Matt’s parents, Glen and Rae Ann came over. They got him a Star Wars game thing. Not sure how to describe it, a Lego sticker book, and a GI Joe!

Then we lit the candles and sang to him and had cake and ice cream

Then we ate Pizza and James, Chantel and Alex came over. James was saying how he wondered what it would be like if he had straight hair so, Chantel and I straightened James’ hair. He looked so different!

After Tommy went to bed, I stayed up until 2:30 in the morning making his spotlight poster for school today. They gave him an awesome little birthday card and a party favor. He also got student of the week for being kind and being a good listener, so he got an award and a toy from the principal too!! I also packed him treats to take to school for his class. He has had a great birthday! Thomas is a sweet kid. He is always great to share his toys with Connor and Riley, he is also very careful about making sure that nobody gets left out. Sometimes I will tell him “Thomas thank you for sharing so well” and he will reply “I love my family more than anything else in the world” WOW! This kid never ceases to amaze me. One day at school they had a popcorn party and Tommy didn’t eat his. He saved it in his backpack for when he got home so he could share with Connor, Riley and I. When there is a kid at school that isn’t very nice to the other kids, Tommy will come home and talk about him, and discuss with me what he is going to do the following day to be extra nice to the kid so maybe the kid will learn to be nice to others. Last year in preschool it was a little boy named Mathias. By the end of the year, Mathias wasn’t being mean anymore and he and Thomas were best friends. Thomas loves art, music, and dancing. He is very creative. His favorite part of movies, isn’t the movie itself, but watching how they made the movie in the special features. Thomas has bundles of energy! And LOVES to make people laugh! The biggest compliment you can give this kid is “You’re SO silly!”

Thomas really is a phenomenal little boy. We are so proud of him!!!
